Baptism Request

Baptism is a sacrament, God using common elements as a means of divine grace, administered by the church as the Body of Christ. It is the act of God through the grace of Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. Methodists offer baptism to people of all ages who have not previously received Christian baptism in any form.

What Happens Next?

Upon submitting this Baptism Request, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment with the pastor for whom you select to perform the baptism. If you are having your child baptized, the pastor will want to meet with both parents and the child. At that time, you will be asked to respond to the following questions:
As a Parent, I am willing:
1)   To live a life before this child that becomes the Gospel.
2)  To bring my child up in the Christian Faith.
3)  To teach my child the Holy Scriptures.
4)  To teach my child, by example, to attend public worship.

At Killearn, we schedule baptisms on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. The 1st Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday and we will not perform baptisms on that day. Please indicate three dates (in order of preference) you would like to reserve for baptism. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred choice, however, the request must be approved by the Worship Planning Committee. We will confirm the baptism date with you as soon as possible.

Please list these dates in order of preference, with the most ideal date listed first.
